Antique Blue Milk Glass Daffodil Dresser Box w Lid At Memory Lane, I have for you this unique blue milk glass container.

This two piece French antique blue milk glass powder, hair, trinket, or puff box is of a turquoise opaline nature. It was probably placed on a dresser table and was used for powder or trinkets. I believe it to be French and made at the Portieux Vallerstahl glass factory. It is an old decorative piece of glassware, in the design of a lily or daffodil, made in the art nouveau style with exaggerated flowing ornamentation. There is much detail to both pieces.
Material: Milk Glass
Color: Blue Turquoise (almost translucent) with Gold cold applied gilding paint
Length/Height – when put together: 6 1/4" +/-
Total Lid Width: 3 1/2" +/-
Base Width: 3" +/-

Maker: Portieux Vallerystahl (Guesstimate)
Markings on Bottom of Glass: None
Condition: Very Good. There are no fractures, chips, cracks, or repairs. As it was formed. There is slight paint removal.

Antique Milk Glass Dresser Puff Powder Box w Lid At Memory Lane, I have this very small and dainty small round milk glass vanity container. The rarity comes from the small size. This little box was probably used on the vanity or dresser for powder, trinkets, gems, or jewelry. The lid is dimpled.

Material: Antique Milk Glass
Color: White, aka Opal or Opaline
Total Length/Height – with the Lid on the Container: 1 3/4" +/- (to the top of the dimple)
Base Width: 2 3/4" +/-
Rim Width: 2 3/8"
Creation Date: 1885 - 1910 +/-
Maker: unk
Bottom Marks: None. The bottom shows slag swirl, but no mark.

Container Glass Condition: Poor. There are four chips on the base. The lip has no chips. These chips do not affect how the piece sits on the table. It is not unsteady and it does not "wiggle".
Lid Glass Condition: Very Good. There is one chip on the exterior, but not on the lip where the two parts meet.

Antique Blue Milk Glass Box w Lid and Welded Brass At Memory Lane, I present to you this blue turquoise milk glass container or round box with a basket weave lid. The box is small and would be great for trinkets and such.
This antique blue milk glass has two pieces: A lid and a bottom/base. The pair are beautiful and would look great in anyone’s collection. The set is decorated on the inside with a floral painting. It is apparent that this pair had not gotten any use or the inside painting would not be as well preserved as it is. It must have sat on someone’s top shelf for many, many years. The colors on the daisy are white and yellow. There is also green, orange, and black in the little painting. The lip edge is brass. The handles were welded onto the edging. The lip was then attached via some sort of cement – probably plaster of paris that has been around for centuries. Please note that the lip is not loose AT ALL; it is as tight as a drum. The lid – which, I believe, is original – is loose. The "marriage" was not a good one. It does sit quite comfortably on there; it does not fall thru, but it is loose. I still think it was original to the bottom, I just don’t think it fits well. On the bottom part, there is a little gold paint on the exterior.
Color: blue
When created: 1885+/- to 1910 +/-. Could be earlier. I doubt that it is later.
Who Made: Unknown. I have been researching this combo since Sep 2013 with no luck whatsoever.
Where Made: I believe, this is English or possibly French. I do not believe it is American made.
Bottom Height: 1 1/8" +/-
Bottom Height w Handle: 1 7/8" +/-
Bottom Lip Width: 3 ¼" +/-
Bottom Base Width: 2 ¾" +/-
Lid Height: 1 3/4" +/-
Lid Width: 2 7/8" +/-
Total Height – when Lid is on Bottom: 3" +/-
Marks: None
Condition: Very Good. No chips, cracks, fractures, or repairs of any kind. There is some discoloration on the brass. That is it.
