Blue Turquoise Milk Glass Dithridge Vanity Tray At Memory Lane would like to present to you this Victorian tray.

This antique blue milk glass tray, with its fanciful scroll on the edge and its occasional powder blue slag, was used during the Victorian Era as a dresser, toiletry, or vanity table tray. It is the largest such tray I have had the opportunity to handle. It is covered with a very fanciful pattern in a novelty shape. On the ends, this pattern is extended to a type of ray pattern – that might be why the pattern is referred to as "Ray End" or "Scroll Edge". It is almost like a piece of lace was placed on top of the plate to make the pattern – very pretty and decorative. This old piece of glassware was never intended to be used as dinnerware, but rather as a toiletry item. It was created by an old glass house in Pittsburg, PA, Dithridge & Company.

Material: Blue Milk Glass
Width: 8 5/8" (at its widest point)
Length: 11 3/8" – just slightly longer and wider than a piece of 8.5x11 computer paper
Maker: Dithridge & Co
When Created: 1873 – 1900 +/-
Glass Condition: Very Good. No chips, cracks, or repairs of any kind. Minor – very minor scratches. Paint Condition: Poor. Probably 95% of the cold applied gold paint is missing.
Description Notes:
1. Nice slag on both front and back.
2. Beautiful opalescence on the border.
3. Very heavy for its size.

Antique Blue Turquoise Milk Glass Dithridge Tray At Memory Lane, I have this beautiful blue (actually turquoise) milk glass novelty shaped tray.

This is an antique vanity blue milk glass tray or oblong plate. It was probably made between 1885 and 1910. The decorative edge is sometimes referred to as notched, scroll, or ribbed. The Old Victorian dish was placed on a table and used for what nots, jewelry, rings, or other toiletries. There is no slag to this tray. The color is a turquoise dark blue. There is a scratch on the back that was made during the firing. This is common. It occurred when it was removed from the mold. Some say that, it was done as an identifying mark. There is also a number "7" on the back.
Material blue milk glass
Maker: Dithridge
When: 1885 – 1910 +/-
Color Blue
Width 8 7/8" +/-
Width 4 1/2" +/-
Base Width 2 3/4" +/-
Height 5/8" +/-
Condition Very Good –No chips, cracks, fractures, or repairs of any kind. It is – as it was made. It does have about 75% of its cold applied gold paint missing.

Vintage Milk Glass Fostoria Dresser Vanity Tray At Memory Lane, I have this oval milk glass vanity platter. It is in 3D; I do not really see how it could have even been used as a comb and brush tray; the decoration is just so pronounced. It was created by Fostoria in the 1960s. It is quite heavy. I have exercise weights that seem to weigh less!

Material: Vintage Milk Glass
Color: Bright White

Length: 11 ½" +/-
Width: 7 ¾" +/-
Creation Date: 1960s +/-
Maker: Fostoria
Bottom Marks: None.
Condition: Excellent. No scratches, breaks, cracks, or hairline fractures.
